I love random walks. Nightly walks.

I like villages and cities in the border. Love how the borders change the landscape, life styles, and everything. Loved my border crossings by land, the most, including, USA - Mexico,  Croatia - Serbia, Croatia - Slovenia, Romania - Hungary, and many other EU border crossings (that do not really exist thanks to Schengen).

I have a huge list of cities/countries to visit - almost the entire countries in the world. I often maintain a list of top 10 or top 20 countries/regions that I would love to visit soon. My current top-20 is listed below.

  1. Hi,

I am wondering if you could help me with the error I am facing in migrating the data from MYSQL to Cassandra.

I am trying to load the data from MYSQL DB to Cassandra (Datastax Enterprise edition). I am using the demo suggested in the link.

http://www.datastax.com/docs/datastax_enterprise2.0/sqoop/sqoop_demo, the difference is that I have MYSQL in a different server. I am able to connect to my MySQL database from the environement where I have installed the datastax dse.

I am getting the bellow message.

14/04/08 14:25:43 WARN tool.BaseSqoopTool: Setting your password on the command-line is insecure. Consider using -P instead.
14/04/08 14:25:45 INFO manager.MySQLManager: Setting zero DATETIME behavior to convertToNull (mysql)
    14/04/08 14:25:45 INFO mapreduce.ImportJobBase: Beginning import of npa_nxx
14/04/08 14:25:46 INFO snitch.Workload: Setting my workload to Cassandra
    14/04/08 14:25:48 ERROR security.UserGroupInformation: PriviledgedActionException as:root cause:java.io.IOException: InvalidRequestException(why:You have not logged in)
14/04/08 14:25:48 ERROR tool.ImportTool: Encountered IOException running import job: java.io.IOException: InvalidRequestException(why:You have not logged in)

    Reagrds,
    Sashi.
